**** Note - Worm buyers beware! We do not guarantee that UPS will always come thru with delivery as ordered. There is no GUARANTEE. We ship the worms packed in fresh seaweed, in an insulated box, with frozen gel refrigerant. We cannot refund you any portion of the sale or shipping if UPS messed up your delivery. We are a small company, not AMAZON and just want fishermen to know that there is a small chance that UPS wont deliver on time and in that case your worms may perish while waiting to be delivered. Please do not expect us to refund your money. Buyer beware please. THX.

Quantity: sold by the baker’s dozen and packed in fresh, wet “worm-weed”. Packed in plant-based compostable tubs. All worms are dug fresh to order the day before shipping for best quality. There will be a range of sizes in each dozen. Worms are best kept on ice from 32-38 degrees F. and best to inspect them daily for any that may be dead or dying as one bad worm can spoil the rest. Rinse in fresh seawater as needed and keep in low flat container with worm-weed. These worms can last for weeks in refrigeration and tended carefully. If you need marine worms for your big fishing trip and want them delivered on time - we are the company for you! Please be sure to select OVERNIGHT shipping or 2-day service. Your purchase supports local worm diggers in a historically underserved rural part of Eastern Maine.

Tidepool Tim says, "Bloodworms are popular in Maine for their use as aquaculture feed.  What makes them visually interesting it what happens when they attack!  They're carnivorous and capture food by extending a large proboscis containing four sets of hollow jaws.  The jaws are attached to gland filled with venom painful even to a human.  Even so, I have handled them so many times and don't run into trouble."
